![]() ![]() You'll want to download Audacity (free) and then start a new recording. You'll want to talk directly into it, or slightly off-angle if you are getting plosives and mouth noises still. The snowball/meteor are both condenser mics so their preferred distance is 6-8" from your mouth with a pop filter 2" from the mic. Good mic technique can make an inexpensive mic sound good while bad mic technique can make an expensive mic sound terrible. The key is knowing how to use your microphone. Personally I started out with a Blue Snowball and never had issues with it. I think that either one of them will give you good sound (if you know how to use them) and you can't go wrong with either. I don't think you'll see much of a difference between the Snowball and the Meteor. ![]()
